Kim Cuppett–that’s me! I attended Chestnut Ridge High School, located in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. While majoring in Secondary Education for English, I attended Penn State Altoona for two years. After a wonderful two years there, I transferred to the University Park Campus (which is where I’m at now). While enrolled in college, I’ve had the priceless opportunity of working for the Gloria Gates Memorial Foundation, an after school program based at a low-income housing development. For the past three school years, I’ve worked with many children who have learning and behavioral disorders. It’s amazing to watch the kids grow each year. The kids who were in kindergarten when I first started working there, are now in second grade. It’s a beautiful thing to watch children grow and mature each year. Teaching is my passion, and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.

On a less professional level…
I’m a very compassionate, loving, and genuine person. I always try to see the best in people. I believe “all you need is love,” as best said by the Beatles. I’m a morning person. I love nature and being outside. One of my favorite hobbies is juggling devil sticks, as well as hand-making them. Recently, I’ve even learned how to do poi!
